Professionals with an interest in removing health barriers to learning are invited to hear from those working hard to make a difference for young people as part of the Government’s Opportunity Area programme.

The Department for Education (DfE) is investing £108 million over five years to transform the life chances of children and young people in 12 areas of the country with low social mobility.

Sign up for the webinar on 14 October, 3:30-5:30pm here to discuss how the Opportunity Areas are supporting mental health and emotional wellbeing, using data innovatively to inform the early identification of autism, and ensuring children who need glasses wear them in class to improve literacy in Stoke-on-Trent, Derby, Hastings, Oldham and Bradford.

These projects also feature in the third Opportunity Area insight guide (link), the first focused on careers interventions and the second looked at teacher recruitment, retention and workforce development
